Joannahuset, Denmark's first crisis center for children and youth, offers a safe haven for young people experiencing abuse and neglect. Open 24/7, it provides care, shelter and confidential counseling. The center was founded by social worker Jette Wilhelmsen in 2017 and aims to be a national resource for children in crisis. Joannahuset's unique approach, based on new research in childhood, respects each child as an equal and valuable individual and involves them in decisions that affect their lives. This approach is based on the understanding that children's well-being is closely connected to their relationships and life circumstances. Joannahuset works closely with various organizations and authorities to build bridges between existing services and ensure that children's rights are respected and upheld. At the core of Joannahuset's work is a dedication to empowering young people, helping them develop resilience and navigate their complex life situations.

SMILfonden works to create experiences and communities for children with serious and chronic illnesses and their families. They organize social activities that give the children a much-needed break from the illness, including events at hospitals, summer camps, trips and networking events. SMILfonden also focuses on counseling and support for families, so that they can deal with the challenges that come with a child with a long-term illness.

The Hej Foundation - founded by handball player Mikkel Hansen - was created to make a difference when it comes to creating safe communities without bullying.
